A signing ceremony was held for the "High-Precision 3D Survey and Analysis Survey for the Preservation and Utilization of Ancient Ruins at Machu Picchu."

Friday, December 20th (Japan time) (Thursday, December 19th local time),
We have been working on a conservation project for the Machu Picchu ruins, a World Heritage site in Peru, South America, for which we have been working on a plan.
Starting next year, a full-scale survey of the ruins will be carried out using high-precision 3D surveying and analysis technology.
A signing ceremony was held at the Peruvian Ministry of Culture between the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, the JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) Peru Office, and our company.

Around February next year, a team of around seven employees will be formed to collect 3D data through surveying using drones equipped with laser scanners and ultra-high resolution cameras, further supporting the preservation and utilization of the ruins.
The project will last approximately two years, and will also involve using drones to survey the areas surrounding the ruins, in an effort to discover new ruins.

At the online signing ceremony,
Peru's Vice Minister of Culture, Chavez Hamel, said in his speech, "I am deeply interested in the project and hope that the initiative will expand." Our company representative, Endo, said, "We will work to ensure that this leads to the sustainable preservation and discovery of ruins."

Through this project, we will work together with the Peruvian Ministry of Culture and the JICA Peru Office to contribute to the sustainable preservation of archaeological sites and the discovery of new ruins in Peru.
