Road race resumes in Tomioka Town. Water supply volunteers
Road racing resumed in Tomioka for the first time in about seven years. Many people from within and outside the town and prefecture participated, and following on from the Futaba World the day before, it felt like light and brightness was slowly returning to the town.
On the day of the race, the 7km mark was in front of our head office building, and we thought it might be tough for some participants, so we made an impromptu water station. The 150 paper cups we had prepared ran out halfway through, so we purchased more and were able to provide everyone with sports drinks and hydrogen water.
The weather was good and it was a very good tournament.
