I gave a lecture at Kinki University Higashi Osaka Campus on Tuesday, December 17th.

December 17th,
I gave a lecture to approximately 100 second-year students from the Faculty of International Studies at Kinki University's Higashi-Osaka Campus.
Since the lecture was held in an environment that included many exchange students and professors, I was able to speak a little more passionately than usual.
After the lecture, the professors said they would like to take their students to the Hamadori region, including Tomioka, in the near future, and hope that this will be an opportunity for them to see and experience the actual situation.
This was my first visit to Kindai University, and in addition to the modern buildings and highly sophisticated library and study rooms, I was impressed by the bright and positive attitude of the students and teachers, giving me a sense of energy.
It made sense to me when I heard that this is the university with the highest number of applicants for 13 consecutive years.

Before giving my lecture at Kindai University, I visited the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution in Kobe, which preserves the records and memories of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Looking at the videos and exhibits, I felt both the overlaps with the Great East Japan Earthquake and the differences between the overlaps with the tsunami and nuclear accident, and the importance of how, as a disaster-stricken nation, we can communicate with the world and be of some help.

The two days in Osaka and Hyogo were very meaningful, with many encounters and realizations.
