Former Environment Minister Hosono visits our company

This morning, House of Representatives member Hosono (former Minister of the Environment) visited our Tomioka headquarters.

We exchanged opinions for about an hour and a half about the progress we've made since the disaster and future challenges and possibilities. Afterwards, I visited my late father's grave and introduced Tomioka's winemaking efforts. After the disaster, Mr. Hosono worked tirelessly in response to the nuclear accident as Minister of the Environment. My late father often spoke of Mr. Hosono's way of thinking and drive. He was my comrade in arms after the disaster, and since Mr. Hosono and I were born in the same year (1971), he would say that Mr. Hosono was like a second son to me. This was our first reunion since my father's funeral. The two and a half hours passed in the blink of an eye.

We exchanged opinions on a variety of topics and gained many insights. I am grateful to my Father in heaven for giving me such a valuable opportunity.
