What are the SDGs?What are the SDGs?

These are the Sustainable Development Goals adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015.
These are international development goals for the period from 2016 to 2030 that aim to solve a variety of issues, from poverty and hunger to environmental problems, economic growth and gender issues.
In Japan, the government, local governments, companies, and various organizations are all engaged in voluntary activities.
In order to achieve the SDGs, our company is also thinking about and acting on what we can do to help the company continue.

  End poverty in all its forms everywhere

  Activity details

  In order to expand local employment in the "Basic Survey for the Preservation and Utilization of Cultural Heritage in the Machu Picchu Region of Peru Using 3D Surveying Technology," we are conducting market research to propose new tourism products (digital content, models, etc.).

  Activity details

  We provide regular annual health checkups and health guidance, as well as tests for work-related stress and in-house training such as training on power harassment.
  We have also established a system for childcare leave and are working to encourage employees to take it.

  Activity details

  We actively promote the employment of female engineers.
  We also provide continuous learning opportunities, such as external training, tailored to the individual's level, to both men and women.

  Within the business organization, two out of ten managers are women.

  We are working to expand renewable energy, including proposing and implementing demonstration experiments for decarbonization.

  In anticipation of future labor shortages, we are actively working on introducing 3D surveying technology and developing new technologies.In terms of work style, we are also promoting sustainable work styles for employees by setting no-overtime days and days when employees are encouraged to take paid leave.

  Activity details

  In addition to traditional public surveys, we also handle environmental surveys using various sensing technologies such as UAVs and 3D lasers, contributing to the development of robust infrastructure.

  Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

  Activity details

  Utilizing the experience gained from overcoming the Great East Japan Earthquake, we will be involved in not only "hard" projects centered on surveying and designing social infrastructure development, but also "soft" projects that connect people and the local community, and will spread the potential of the Futaba region. In addition, in our overseas projects, we have also conducted surveys for disaster prevention plans such as tsunami countermeasures for coastal areas.

  Activity details

  We conduct environmental surveys overseas, such as coral reef surveys, and as part of our CSR activities, we also pick up trash on land and along coastlines, including marine plastic waste.

  Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

  Activity details

  We are conducting research and planning to sustainably maintain and utilize forest resources, including demonstrative research on radiation dose measurement in forest areas using UAVs and demonstrative research on forest timber volume surveys.

  Activity details

  We are registered with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and have been actively participating in international cooperation projects targeting developing countries. We also collaborate with universities and other research institutes and specialized organizations to achieve our goals in experimental research on new technologies.
