A pleasant way to spend a holiday. Managing wine grapes in Tomioka Town. Worked by a cultivation club and about 10 volunteers. Day by day, it becomes more picturesque, a landscape. I always think that making wine is not the ultimate goal. It is truly important to be able to share a vision of the future with the residents of my hometown who have evacuated to various places, and to take the time to gradually bring together vectors that have spread out in 360 degrees. An initiative that brings together residents who have been separated for over five years may be modest, but I believe it will lead to steady progress. Building a town from zero, from minus, like no other before.
Today we are also receiving cooperation from Kawauchi Village. Originally, Kawauchi Village and Tomioka Town have had a brotherly relationship. Even if it takes time, we would like to realize a genuine wide-area collaboration that Japan and the world can be proud of. It was a very good and fulfilling day where we felt the potential of the future through winemaking.
