Lecture for employees of JR East Mito Branch
On February 9th, I was asked by the Mito branch of JR East to give a lecture. They asked me to talk about the significance of winemaking near Tomioka Station, so I gave a lecture for about an hour, covering the local situation and challenges that form the background to winemaking, the reconstruction of our Futaba branch, and our overseas efforts.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the lecture was held remotely, but many employees, including the Mito Branch Manager, the Iwaki Station Manager, and executives from the head office, listened to his talk.
After the lecture, we received valuable questions and words of encouragement, and although the time was only about an hour and a half in total, it was a very meaningful experience.
We aim to be the winery closest to a station and the sea in Japan, and hope to collaborate with JR East in the future.
