I reported the progress of the Machu Picchu archaeological survey to the mayor of Otama Village.
Futaba Co., Ltd. reported on the progress of its three-dimensional measurement survey, part of its ongoing conservation project for the Machu Picchu World Heritage Site in Peru, South America, to the mayor of Otama Village, which has a sister city relationship with Machu Picchu Village.
In this survey, we are utilizing cutting-edge three-dimensional measurement technology to acquire highly accurate data on archaeological sites, and we are steadily accumulating results, such as confirming several new archaeological sites beneath the dense jungle during the survey process.
In the report, the village mayor stated that, regarding the use of the data acquired, "it would be extremely meaningful if, through VR (virtual reality) and other means, the children in the village could experience the Machu Picchu ruins in a more realistic way."We received many positive comments.

We will continue our research and explore ways to utilize the data obtained for education and regional revitalization.
