We held a kickoff meeting for a tripartite joint research project to promote the Yonomori Project.

Futaba Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Tohoku University and Oriental Consultants Co., Ltd., held a kick-off meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture, to launch the "Yonomori Project," a joint industry-academia research project promoting reconstruction and community development using digital technology in the Yonomori district of Tomioka Town.

This joint research project focuses on the Yonomori district, 15 years after the earthquake, and involves collaboration between industry, academia, and the local community. This meeting served as a starting point for sharing the research objectives and procedures, and for future activities.

Following the meeting, we conducted a site visit to the Yonomori district. In this joint research project, we will promote a model project for post-disaster town development utilizing digital technology in the Yonomori district, and implement a regional revitalization project through measures such as promoting return to the area and attracting people who have connections and visits to the area.
We discussed how to reproduce and organize the actual building layout and road conditions on-site as digital data.

This joint research project will be conducted over three years, until January 2029. In the first year, we will conduct foundational surveys and data organization, and based on the results, we plan to gradually advance the research in the second and third years.

Futaba Co., Ltd. will continue to be involved in this joint research as a member of the Yonomori Project.
