We held a workshop to discuss decommissioning.

Today, June 19th (Wednesday), we held a "Workshop to Discuss Decommissioning" within our company, with the participation of Professor Hiroshi Kainuma, who is known for his research on decommissioning.

Fifteen of our employees participated in the workshop, splitting into three groups and starting with simple questions about decommissioning, they consulted with experts and compiled their findings into three sections: "Challenges," "Answers," and "Outlook."

Although I work in an area near a nuclear power plant, the process of exchanging opinions with my colleagues on topics that I don't directly encounter in my regular work and consolidating them into a single opinion was a valuable experience.

The 4th Fukushima Daiichi Decommissioning International Forum, which will discuss decommissioning and the future, will be held this summer in the local town of Tomioka. The workshop held by our company this time will also be held on a larger scale, involving local residents. Why not come and join us? Lunch will also be provided!
