I participated in a tour of the interim storage construction site.

Interim Storage Construction Information Center
On September 30th, 11 employees participated in a tour of the interim storage construction site. This tour was guided by JESCO, which manages the interim storage project. First, we received an overview of the construction at the Interim Storage Construction Information Center in Okuma Town, and then we boarded a bus to enter the interim storage facility.

At the Receiving and Sorting Facility and Soil Storage Facility, we got off the bus and were given an explanation of the specific work involved. From the elevated area set up for a close-up tour of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, we were able to get a close-up look at the nuclear power plant, which we had only seen on the news or from afar.
Although the interim storage facility is not far from the Tomioka headquarters, it was the first time for most of the employees to actually visit it. As members involved in the reconstruction and revitalization project, the tour seemed to be a moving experience for each employee.
We would like to thank all the JESCO staff who guided us and gave us this valuable opportunity.
