I spoke at a lecture and discussion forum at Dokkyo University titled "Considering the Future of Fukushima."
On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, our CEO, Endo, spoke at the 12th session of the Earth Week Dokkyo 2026 Summer Lecture and Discussion Meeting, titled "Thinking about the Future of Fukushima - Things You Should Know While You're a University Student," held at Dokkyo University.
On that day, under the theme of "Challenges and Initiatives in the Nuclear Disaster-Affected Area: Our Journey So Far and Community Development Looking 100 Years into the Future," we gave a lecture on the progress of reconstruction and community development in Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture, after the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear accident, as well as our company's initiatives looking towards the future of the region.
We also introduced our efforts to support the preservation and utilization of ancient ruins in Machu Picchu, Peru, utilizing high-precision 3D surveying and analysis.
At the panel discussion following the lecture, Mr. Yoshino, a 2023 graduate of Dokkyo University who is currently engaged in surveying work using UAVs at our company, also took the stage. Together with the students, he exchanged opinions on the current situation in Fukushima and the Hamadori region, the future of reconstruction, and the significance of being involved in local communities.
This lecture and discussion provided a valuable opportunity for students, who will be the leaders of the next generation, to consider the current situation in Fukushima and the reconstruction and urban development efforts.
Our company will continue to contribute to the reconstruction and sustainable community development of the Hamadori region, including Tomioka Town, and will utilize the surveying and spatial information technologies we have cultivated both domestically and internationally to address regional challenges.
