We conducted a work experience program at Tomioka Junior High School.
On Thursday, September 25th, we held a work experience program for two students from Tomioka Junior High School.
On the day, the school grounds were used for the event, where students were able to experience the excitement of technology by actually operating surveying equipment and drones to measure the shape of the ground, draw pictures, and view it from the sky.
In the morning, the students had the opportunity to experience surveying using surveying equipment, and took on the unique challenge of drawing a ground drawing of Tomioka Town's mascot character, "Tomippy," in the schoolyard.

In the afternoon, the students had the opportunity to try out flying a drone. When they photographed the geoglyph from the sky, they exclaimed in amazement at how well-made "Tomippy" was. Seeing it from above allowed them to see the results of the survey at a glance, and they were very interested in flying the UAV.

We will continue to communicate the appeal of technology and its connection to society to the younger generation who will be responsible for the future of the region.
