To express my gratitude, I went to slightly chilly Okinawa.
We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Nojima (a former professor at Kyushu University) for his many years of hard work as our coral expert, and to ask for his continued guidance in the future.
After joining the company, he worked in Mauritius, Madagascar, and the Philippines.
They were involved in coral surveys and conservation planning.
Next month will mark 30 years since I joined the company. No matter how much time passes, my classmates will always be important colleagues.
By chance, I found many paintings by artist Mutsutoshi Naka on the floor of the hotel where I was staying. He is a famous artist and a relative of mine who was introduced to me by Chairman Naka of Tomioka in Okinawa before the earthquake. It reminded me of my research on coral reefs on Izena Island.
