Participated as a panelist in the 10th Nuclear Policy and Fukushima Reconstruction Symposium

This afternoon, I participated as a panelist in the 10th Nuclear Policy and Fukushima Reconstruction Symposium, hosted by Waseda University. It was a two-and-a-half-hour panel discussion with 12 participants from universities, research institutions, the national government, and local residents. The talks by professors and researchers with a variety of specialties, as well as those actively working in the community, provided many inspirations and insights. As someone who lives and works in the area, this opportunity gave me the opportunity to view the region from multiple perspectives, and I learned a lot. I myself shared my views from the perspective of someone who works in the nuclear disaster area. This time, the symposium and panel discussion were held online. Approximately 120 people from around the country participated.
Although we have become quite accustomed to the online format, we still look forward to having in-person gatherings.
I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers, panelists, and the many participants. I hope that this will continue to expand the circle of people involved.
