Accepting new national civil servants for training
Yesterday and today, training for new national civil servants was held at Futaba's headquarters and wine grape fields. These are fresh recruits who only joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Defense, and Cabinet Office in April of this year. Yesterday morning, there was a lecture on the current situation and issues in the region, and urban development through wine in Tomioka. Around lunchtime, there was a tour of the town's rice farming and wine grape fields, and in the afternoon, they experienced field work in the wine grape fields, followed by a workshop on regional urban development. This morning, based on the five-day training in Tomioka, there was a presentation on the themes of station-front urban development and urban development through wine.
The trainees are all very positive, energetic, honest, and have very sharp thinking. They are people who will have a direct impact on the future of Japan. I hope that the training in Tomioka will be of some use to them in their future careers. I am looking forward to the future of Japan.
