Groundbreaking ceremony for Tomioka Head Office and Company Housing
Today, we held a groundbreaking ceremony in Tomioka Town for our head office building and company housing. The building is located about a two-minute walk from Tomioka Station. It is scheduled for completion in June or July of this year. The building will be constructed from cedar, cypress, and fir trees cultivated by our ancestors in Tomioka Town. Some of the trees are over 100 years old and were planted by my great-grandfather through my father. We are grateful to our ancestors for providing us with these materials, and we feel both the joy and the weight of the responsibility of establishing a base in Tomioka and Futaba County. The true value of Futaba Co., Ltd. will be tested in the extent to which it can contribute to the recovery, revitalization, and future of this region.
This is an all-Fukushima cross-sectional project, with logging in Tamura City, lumbering in Iwaki and Aizu, design and management in Minamiaizu, and construction in Futaba County.
It will soon be six years since the earthquake, an important year.
