Machu Picchu ruins investigation nears end

Our investigation into the Machu Picchu ruins is nearing the end.

The drone survey of Machu Picchu ruins has been completed successfully, and investigations into ruins that may lie hidden in the surrounding forests are currently underway.

We are utilizing all of the experience we have gained in Fukushima, such as various flight routes and altitudes, and the angles of the lasers and cameras we will be using, and as we are conducting an investigation in unprecedented terrain and at unprecedented altitudes, we are pooling our knowledge together with team members and Ministry of Culture staff.

I believe we have been able to obtain valuable data that has not existed until now, and I look forward to seeing the results of analyzing the data we are obtaining.
We will also consider whether precise 3D measurement data can be used in response to various disasters.
