Q.

Compared to your previous workplace, what surprised you the most about joining Futaba?

An atmosphere of "everyone working together to achieve one thing"

The openness and cooperation between employees is what really surprised me. At my previous job, there was an atmosphere of "not being interested" in work outside of my own department, but at Futaba, I strongly sense an atmosphere that transcends departments and "everyone works together to accomplish one goal." The thing that surprised me the most was the company culture and attitude of working while making use of the areas of expertise, regardless of age or gender.

Q.

What moments in your current job do you find particularly rewarding?

When I realize that my experience and knowledge are helping to rebuild my hometown

Although I changed jobs from a completely different field, I feel the most fulfilled when I realize that I am able to utilize the experience and knowledge I have cultivated up until now in my work at Futaba. In particular, I feel fulfilled when I realize that with the headquarters located in the Soso region, I am able to be involved in the reconstruction of this region and that I am helping to rebuild my hometown of Fukushima Prefecture.

Q.

What skills and knowledge have you acquired since joining the company?

Experience a new field by changing jobs from a different field

As a construction consultant, I was able to gain experience in areas that I would not have been able to experience in my previous B2C-based business, such as how to perceive things and how to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders. I would like to continue to use this experience in my work. Also, although it is not my main job, I have become somewhat knowledgeable about wine while preparing for the establishment of Tomioka Winery, which Futaba is fully supporting.

Q.

What goals do you have for your future career?

I want to build my career at Futaba, where I can contribute to the community.

As the management department of a construction consultant, I will be constantly considering how Futaba can grow and contribute to the local community while accurately assessing the future trends of reconstruction. Within this ever-changing organization, I would like to find the position I should take and shape the career the company expects from me.
