Examination of gravel beach nourishment plan on Fongafale Island, Tuvalu
Tuvalu is said to be at risk of being submerged due to rising sea levels caused by global warming. In particular, on Fongafale Island, where the capital is located, available land is limited, and residential areas have come close to the coastline on the lagoon side, making it impossible to ignore the risk of erosion and wave overtopping during high tides.
