[Event Committee] Futaba Softball Club Launches!

Last Saturday was the Tomioka Softball Exchange Tournament.

Following last year, we participated in this tournament again this year as it was part of the Tomioka Genki Festa 2020, organized by the Tomioka Town Sakura Culture and Sports Promotion Corporation.

A total of six teams, including our company and other companies and organizations active in the town, participated in the tournament, and they were divided into three teams and played in a league match. With the addition of new players, they aimed to "win one game this year!" and in their first match, they faced the "Ministry of the Environment Fukushima Regional Environment Office" team. Unfortunately, they were defeated 1-3.

The second match was against the Fukushima Prefecture Tomioka Civil Engineering Office team, with a score of 2 to XX, which was also a close loss.

Regardless of the outcome of the game, I felt that it was very meaningful that the employees were able to feel a sense of solidarity through softball and interact with other organizations working in the town.

Next year I'll practice and get one win!
