[CSR Activities] We have started picking up trash in the ocean in Tomioka.
This morning, volunteers working at the Tomioka headquarters gathered early in the morning to pick up trash on the coastline around Tomioka Fishing Port.
Plastic and other marine debris is a major environmental problem around the world.
If things continue as they are, it is said that by 2050 there will be more trash in the ocean than fish.
We started with small local actions to reduce marine litter that connects to the world.
