JICA has adopted a 3D survey of cultural assets at Machu Picchu.

On the 23rd of last month, we received a call from JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) informing us that our company's plan had been "selected" for the first "Small and Medium-sized Enterprise/SDGs Business Support Project" of fiscal 2019.
This project aims to utilize our surveying technology at the Machu Picchu ruins in Peru, a famous World Heritage Site. This project began with the desire to give back to Otama Village, which provided shelter for us during the earthquake disaster, and after two years, our wish has finally come true.
This year marks the 120th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Peru, and Machu Picchu Village at the foot of the mountain is a sister city of Otama Village in Fukushima Prefecture, thanks to the connection with Yokichi Nouchi, who immigrated from Otama Village in Fukushima Prefecture and contributed to the village's development. Otama Village will also be Peru's host town for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, so we hope that this project will help promote exchange not only between the two villages, but also between Peru and Japan.
