Young business leaders from the Davos Conference visited our company (April 15th)
On April 15th, approximately 20 young business leaders from Japan and abroad, who were members of the Davos Conference, visited our company. First, I gave a one-hour presentation in my limited English about the current situation, challenges, and future possibilities of the region. Afterward, we enjoyed a one-hour BBQ lunch in our company's conference room and on the deck. The ingredients were mostly from Fukushima Prefecture: rice from Tomioka Town, sea products (flounder and octopus from Soma), river products (salmon from the Kido River in Naraha Town), and mountain produce (shiitake mushrooms from Kawauchi and asparagus from Yabuki). The BBQ was entirely arranged by Kawai Butcher in Tokiwa Town, Tamura City. All we did was eat. I hope that these influential figures in the global economy will gain insights by listening to the people of Fukushima and tasting the food. This experience once again reinforced the importance of continuing this kind of initiative. It may take time, but it's crucial to ensure that people in Japan and overseas truly understand this.
