Regarding the eroding coastlines of Mauritius, aerial and satellite photographs from six periods in the past were digitized and, after geometric correction, basic information such as the location of the coastline, changes in coastal structures and facilities, and the distribution of coral reefs, as well as analysis results, were compiled into a database.In addition, meteorological data such as temperature and rainfall were compiled into a database along with location information, and this is being used to support the creation of coastal conservation plans, coastal restoration plans, and coastal space management plans for the entire country of Mauritius.
