Shosuke TanakaSYOSUKE TANAKA
Tomioka Head Office / Regional Design Department
Please tell us why you decided to join Futaba.
I want to contribute to reconstruction using the drone technology I have learned.
I was born and raised in Fukushima Prefecture and experienced the earthquake disaster. I wanted to contribute to the reconstruction of my hometown, Fukushima, and became interested in Futaba, which is working on urban development in the disaster-stricken areas.
I learned that the company was contributing to the local community by utilizing cutting-edge equipment and technology, including drones, which I had learned about, and I wanted to put what I had learned to good use while working alongside my seniors who could provide guidance.
What made you decide to learn about drones and get a job?
Attracted by the potential of drone technology
I became interested in drones because I had the opportunity to come into contact with them thanks to my father and because I saw the potential in future drone technology.
In particular, drone technology is rapidly becoming more widespread in the surveying industry, and I felt that this was a field with great potential, such as the potential to improve work efficiency and reduce work time and manpower.
Please tell us about the atmosphere you felt inside the company after joining the company.
It's a warm and team-oriented company
They are very kind and willing to explain anything you don't understand. It's a great workplace where it's easy to communicate and we sometimes laugh together over trivial conversations.
The company building has an open atrium, and I really like the feeling that the departments are close together and that we work as a united company.
What kind of engineer do you want to be in the future?
To be an engineer who can provide the best technology in any situation
I would like to spread the technology and know-how I have cultivated in Tomioka Town throughout Japan and overseas, and give back to those who supported me during the earthquake. Even as UAV surveying becomes more common, traditional surveying techniques remain indispensable. I would like to become an engineer who can provide the best equipment and surveying methods depending on the situation.
We are working hard to find out what can only be done in the disaster-stricken areas, and what only Futaba can do.
Message to job seekers
The company is equipped with cutting edge equipment.
Futaba employs cutting-edge equipment and has many people who use it to carry out their work. Depending on your ideas, there are limitless possibilities. It's a very rewarding company because it's easy to express your own opinions.
