We conducted a life-saving training course within the company.
On Thursday, July 30th, we held a life-saving training session at our Tomioka headquarters, with instructors from the Tomioka Fire Department.
During the training, we received explanations on the procedures for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use an AED, and we actually practiced chest compressions using a training dummy. Although we had reviewed the procedures in a video beforehand, there were times when we forgot the steps during the actual training, and we realized the difference between understanding something intellectually and actually being able to do it.
Furthermore, while chest compressions require pushing the chest in about 5 cm, the training dummy was much harder than expected, allowing us to experience the difficulty of maintaining the correct pressure consistently. Through the training, we reaffirmed the importance of staying calm and cooperating with others in emergencies, as well as the importance of continuous learning.

In the unlikely event that I encounter a situation requiring life-saving measures in my immediate surroundings, I will continue to strive to acquire knowledge and skills so that I can use this experience to save precious lives.
I encourage everyone to participate in a life-saving training course and acquire the skills to act in an emergency.
