I participated in a cleanup activity to prepare for the reopening of Tomioka Beach and Ukedo Coast.
On Wednesday, July 15th, twelve of our employees participated in environmental improvement activities in preparation for the reopening of beaches in the Hamadori region of Fukushima Prefecture.
Due to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, Tomioka Beach (Tomioka Town) and Ukedo Beach (Namie Town) had been closed for a long time, but this summer they are scheduled to reopen for the first time since the disaster.
In this activity, we worked together with local residents and related organizations to clean the beach and improve the environment, helping to create a safe and secure swimming area.

Our company will continue to actively participate in initiatives that contribute to the recovery and revitalization of Fukushima, and we will walk alongside the people of the region.
